Ira Brad Matetsky is a 1984 graduate of Princeton University and a 1987 graduate of the Fordham University School of Law, where he received awards in Contracts and Constitutional Law and served on the Fordham Law Review.

His professional experience prior to joining Ganfer & Shore, LLP includes 12 years as a litigation attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP as well as 5 years as in-house counsel at a nationally known food company.

Mr. Matetsky is a member of the American Bar Association and its Litigation Section, the Federal Bar Council, the New York State Bar Association and its Commercial Division Law Report Committee, and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.

Mr. Matetsky has authored several published articles in legal periodicals as well as the Introduction to the 2005 supplement to In Chambers Opinions by the Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States, and is a member of the Board of Advisors for The Green Bag Almanac and Reader, an annual collection of the year's best legal writing. He also served for 6 years as a member of the Baldwin Union Free School District Board of Education, and is a past recipient of the President's Pro Bono Service Award from the New York State Bar Association.

Mr. Matetsky concentrates in litigation and arbitration matters, including corporate, commercial, securities, and trust-and-estates litigation and appeals.
